Opening to the public
The museum could be visited for everyone
In 1960, with historian Juan Torres Fontes at the helm of the institution, the Salzillo Museum finally opened its doors to the public, almost twenty years after its creation has been decreted.
The land around the museum was extended in the nineteen seventies, when de Reinassance façade of the Riquelme Palace, formerly located on Calle Jabonerías in Murcia, was installed on its northern front.
